Here are some of my key accomplishments:
$3.75 Million for Miami-Dade Police Department Platform Upgrade: Enhances law enforcement capabilities by replacing outdated laptops with advanced smartphones and the DeX platform, boosting in-vehicle computing efficiency and providing officers with up-to-date investigative tools.
I Recognized Miami Police Officers for their Bravery protecting us: Honored 75 officers from Florida’s 27th Congressional District for their exceptional bravery and service.
I Recognized Miami Firefighters for their Heroism: Honored over 30 firefighters in South Florida for their significant contributions to our district safety and their heroic efforts.
I Introduced the SERVICE Act for Veterans and Law Enforcement: Launches a pilot program through the U.S. Department of Justice to establish veteran response teams within law enforcement, supporting veterans in crisis and connecting them with essential resources.
Ongoing Roundtables with Police and Firefighters: Hosts regular meetings with local police and firefighters to understand their challenges and seek ways to enhance public safety in South Florida.
Supporting Law Enforcement Resolution: I cosponsored and helped pass a resolution expressing support for police officers and recognizing the critical role they play in keeping our communities safe.
Protecting Americans Abroad: I cosponsored the Commission on Americans Living Abroad bill to ensure federal laws and policies are fair for U.S. citizens living overseas, including civilians and members of the Armed Forces.
