Below are some of my key accomplishments:

$3 Million for the Renovation of Miami-Dade College Historic Dyer Federal Courthouse: Secured funding to revitalize this historic landmark into a vibrant center for workforce development, innovation, and cultural enrichment.
My COVID Economic (EIDL) Relief Act implemented into law: This bill gave small business owners extra time to pay back loans, helping them rebuild and grow after the COVID pandemic.
Passed Amendment to Expand Contracting Opportunities for Small Businesses: This amendment increases the limits for sole source contracting, and expands opportunities for veteran-owned, women-owned, and minority-owned businesses. Also, by improving access to government contracts, it supports the growth of small and disadvantaged businesses, driving broader economic recovery and growth.
My RECLAIM Taxpayer Funds Act was Implemented by SBA: This legislation recovers billions from fraudulent government loans, ensuring fiscal responsibility and addressing misuse of COVID-19 relief funds. By reclaiming these funds, we are also working to help reduce inflation across the country.
$650,000 Secured for BizGap Program at FIU: Funding will support the BizGap program, offering essential consulting and training to over 1,000 small businesses in District 27, fostering job creation and business growth.
Organized Job Fairs and Small Business Expos: I Hosted numerous events to connect South Florida talent with local employers and support the development of small businesses.
Conducted Educational Seminars for Constituents and Federal Agencies: I provided dozens of valuable seminars on a range of topics including tax filing, business startups, and federal contracting.
Capital Support for Small Businesses: I cosponsored the Main Street Tax Certainty Act to permanently extend the 20% tax deduction for small businesses, preventing them from having to limit their growth, investment, and hiring plans.
Reducing Red Tape: I co-sponsored the Small Business Regulatory Reduction Act, which mandates that any new SBA regulation must not impose costs on small businesses. I’ve also sent numerous letters to the SBA questioning their proposed costly regulations.
Supporting the Fiscal Responsibility Act: I backed the Fiscal Responsibility Act, which cuts over $2 trillion in spending, reclaims $28 billion in unspent COVID funds, and expands welfare work requirements. This historic measure aims to be the largest deficit reduction bill ever.
